TPT4KC This Week!

I have been thinking so much about this ministry lately.  I truly don't know where it is going but I'm praying The Lord will reveal that.  There are a few opportunities for us to partner with other, already certified, organizations that want the same things we do.  But I don't know if that is right - or we should pursue becoming our own non-profit.  This ministry is so vital to these families, but should it just be our family or should others be involved.  I certainly want to expand it in terms of sending out cards and encouragement, in addition to the kits and our prayer list.  But I don't really want to take on the workload of getting that going, either.

It's the push and pull of ministry - how much can you do and how much will you let The Lord do?

I am really wrestling with that now.

And when I pray for these families - I am wrestling with another thought.  I don't want to lose one of these precious angels to cancer.  I don't want to lose any child to cancer, but especially these that are on my heart and mind all the time.  I pray The Lord will heal them and send them on with His seal of purpose and plan; to show His power and care throughout long, beautiful, well-lived lives.  I want them all to grow up, graduate, get married, have kids and move beyond the life-threatening disease they are dealing with now.  My heart cries out for it this morning!

Sometimes I think the only way that is going to happen is if Jesus comes back now.  But I never want to limit the scope and power of God - so I will just use this morning to again place them all into His Hands, for His care.  

As I lay them down at the foot of the Cross, I rest in Ephesians 3:20-21: 
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
If anyone can heal them it is our Great God.  Amen and Amen and Amen.

Sophia Vogel (5, soft tissue sarcoma behind left eye) – Praise that her cold is going away!  Pray for courage to go without hats in the confidence of The Lord.  Pray for clear scans at the end of November.  <"Team Sophia" on FB>
Anna Grace Dennis (7, ependymoma) – Follow up with the radio-oncologist didn’t yield any more/better information.  Pray they will be able to schedule an appointment with the Pediatric Neurologist they have been referred to and that Dr. will have the wisdom to provide some assurance as to the spot on her cerebellum and addressing her head and stomach aches.  Praise the headaches are lessening but pray the stomach pain is healed too!  <"Team Anna Grace" on FB>
Rylee Beard (5, Will's tumors in bladder/abdomen) – Turning 6 this weekend!  Praise and pray for a fun party on Saturday!

Matthew Lucas (5, Rhabdomyosarcoma) – End of treatment scans shows a mass where the original tumor presented.  Don’t know if it is dead tissue or not and doctors meeting today to determine if they will biopsy.  Pray for wisdom, peace and clarity of decision! <"Team Matthew" on FB>

Holden Underwood (1, ALL/MLL) – Pray continues to tolerate spinal chemo, that he is healed up from getting a port and that he stays funny and spunky with no fevers or illness! <"Holden's Hope" on FB>

Aiden McSpadden (2, AML relapse) – Got his last chemo yesterday, today is his rest day before tomorrow.  He goes his bone marrow transplant tomorrow!  Pray all goes smoothly, he rebounds miraculously and that this puts him cancer free! <"Angels for Aiden" on FB>

Brennan Scurlock (1, neuroblastoma) – Scans showed no new activity, including in the tumor that came back!  High dose chemo did its job and will be followed up by radiation to ensure they knock it all out!  Pray his stem cells continue to help his body rebound!  <"Brennan Scurlock" on FB>

Lincoln Daniel Jones (3, ALL) – Checking in at OHSU Children’s Hospital for his in-patient treatment round.  Pray for minimal to no side effects and for strength for his Mom and Dad.  Inpatients and all the details that go on with them are so stressful! <"Pray for Lincoln Daniel Jones" and "Red Carpet Kids for a Cure" on FB>

Gabbie Howe (12, brain tumor, ependymoma) – Pray for full recovery from surgery and radiation!

Gunnar Peterson (5, Wilm’s Tumor) Continuing with outpatient chemo and finished up his radiation!  Pray for continued strength as well as minimal to no side effects as the treatment builds up in his system!  No fevers or illness!  <”Gunnar’s Team on FB”>

Kory Crowell (12, Tumor on Adrenal gland) Got to visit the New Orleans Saints this past weekend!  Praise for good health and pray to help him recover from such an exciting time!  <”lil_dude on carepages.com”>

Ava Caggino (4, ATRT Brain Tumor) Pray for strength and recovery of her sight as she continues treatment.  <"The Ava Caggino Fight Aganist Cancer Page" on FB>

Hunter (1, Ewing Sarcoma) – Got several scans between last week and yesterday.  Waiting on results.  His counts are extremely low, so pray that he will be fever and illness free!  They also start 6 weeks of Mon-Fri radiation at the Proton Center, so pray for safe travel and that the tumor responds!  <”Cure Baby Hunter” on FB>

Kylie Overton (2, Brain Tumor) – She recently started a new type of chemo, pray the cancer responds and she is healed!  <”Prayers for Baby Kylie Overton” on FB>

Lance McClain (ALL) – In maintenance phase of treatment at TCH and responding well!  His mom pasted a picture of him getting ready to go to bat for his baseball team!  Pray for continued good health, help his mom manage their full family and find the job The Lord wants her to have and that Lance will be healed! <”TeamLance McClain” on FB>

Lucy Weber (4, ALL) – They are headed to Memphis to get a spinal tap to see what is going on with the cancer cells.  Pray all is clear! <"Team Lucy" on FB>

Izzy Slot (3, angiosarcoma) Back from Hawaii, which was WONDERFUL for the whole family!  She had her liver levels checked on Friday and they continue to drop!  Praise the Lord and pray they keep coming down to normal levels, which means her body isn't rejecting her new liver!  <”izzyslot” on carepages.com>

Natalie Fraker (4, astrocytoma) – has a lot of challenges, including being on a ventilator, which they hope to wean her off of soon.  She is also receiving PT and OT to regain the use of her left side.  Her next scan is November 10th.  Pray all is clear and the Lord will heal this little girl for the glory of His Name!  <” PRAYERSFORNKF” on carepages.com>

Ruel Bobet (20, stomach cancer) – Undergoing more aggressive chemo and still dealing with liver pain from the lesions.  Doing systemic chemo for 6 weeks (5 weeks to go) and then targeted treatment.  Pray for minimal side effects and to stay illness free!

Kristina Barrett (9, sarcoma in lungs and arm) –Had blood work done yesterday and starting the process to examine other alternative treatments for her.  Also, her shoulder has been hurting, so pray the Lord will heal that pain.  She will get another scan next month.  Pray for patience and the scans to show the tumor is not just not growing – but shrinking!  <"Praying for Kristina" on FB>

Addison Marshall (18, ALL) – doing well, although has an injured hip from playing football.  Getting his hair back too!  Pray for his Mom’s strength as she is continuing to fighting for funding for cancer and spread the word about ensuring the support for fighting this disease!  <addiecake on Twitter>
