TPT4KC This Week!

Thankful.

I tried to include a reminder in each update for each of these families to experience rest, recover and gratitude this week.  This is a break for a lot of them, just for the fact the clinics are on a break.  Breaks are good, they are necessary - for physical and mental healing.  They are another reason - even in the midst of treatment - to be thankful.

A year ago, Sophia started getting ulcers in her mouth from her first 6 or so weeks of chemo.  On Thanksgiving day, she couldn't eat.  We thought fast and got a straw and some pediasure, which she lived on (till she got sick of it) for a few days.  We didn't know about "magic mouthwash" until it was too late, but I'm so thankful that I was made aware of it because it was a miracle cure.  And I have had the privilege of letting others know about it and help them avoid the pain of having gaping sores in their mouth.

That's what I remember from last year's thanksgiving.  We were still in panic mode, still learning "on the job" so to speak - about caring for someone in treatment.  This thanksgiving is certainly different for us.  I'm eternally grateful and it is my pleasure this week to give you this updates because prayer is the best gift we can give them this holiday.

Jesus is the reason for the upcoming season - He is the greatest gift ever.

Thank You Lord!  Thank You for Everything!

Now, let us give these families that gift of prayer because PRAYER WORKS!

Please lift up Kory Krowell’s family.  Kory received the ultimate healing from Our Father on Friday at 4:15 pm.  Praise God that he is finally at peace and pray for the God of All Comfort to hold his family in His arms as they grieve the loss of Kory.
