TPT4KC - Wednesday Edition

Well, to all my prayer warriors, I know you will understand.  Yesterday got away from me and I didn't get an opportunity to get the updates together!  Sorry about that.  Better late than never!

There are some big things happening with our little friends battling cancer this week.  We have lots of chemo being received, recovery from chemo last week, scans, surgeries - there is always something to pray about!  There are some big praise reports too - including no growth in Kristina's tumor and Sarah Lynn not actually having cancer!!!  She still has a long way to go to recovery but praise the Lord it is not cancer!

Our God is bigger than cancer, the boogey man, anything and He is proving it in the lives of these kids.  And on that note, I was studying 1 Peter 5:7 this morning as part of my devotional.  I ran across the Amplified Bible translation and it really struck me because when your child is in treatment, you not only need love and support - you need that peace of knowing someone is looking out for you too.  What a blessing it is that we have a God who does that!
Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
So, if I were talking to one of the parents of these blessed kids today, called according to His purpose, to fight cancer and change lives through their journeys - I would tell them two things.

1. God loves you, more than anyone else and more than you will ever know.

2. God is paying attention and taking care of all the details during every season of your life, but especially THIS season.  You can surrender it to Him, He has it all in His Hands and He will make sure you come out of this.

For those parents to have that reassurance is my prayer today.  More than anything else to know that Jehovah God - the Creator, Former and Finisher of all things, now and forever, KNOWS what is happening to you and your child.  He cares about it and He is working for your good.  I pray they can rest in that knowledge, even while facing something so beyond their ability to handle.

So - let's get to praying because what works?  PRAYER WORKS!
