As my head hit the pillow last night, with my eyes closing, I remembered that I had planned to send this out before I went to bed. We had a late swim meet last night, in which Nats did great, but it meant my Monday schedule was a bit wackier than normal, which has a great impact on my Tuesday schedule!
Not to worry, I am what you would call a morning person, so here we are. :)
Have a few updates for you and this week, we are cycling back around to lift these wonderful kids fighting cancer up to the Lord. The focus verse I'm going to be praying over is our Team Sophia theme - Galatians 6:9.
So let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up!
Pray these kids (and their families) will keep up the good fight - full of wisdom, power and peace - directly from the Holy Spirit!
Sophia Vogel - 4 years old - Sarcoma b/h left eye – In patient Chemo this week, only 5 more left! She had a hard time with nausea/vomiting last inpatient, so pray she can get her chemo in the afternoon, rather the middle of the night so she can sleep through the worst of it!
Anna Grace Dennis - 7 years old - Cancer free from brain tumor! Still having headaches as a side effect of the radiation, although less frequent, still a bummer. Pray those go away!
Rylee Beard - 5 years old - Will's Tumor in abdomen/neck (relapse) – inpatient chemo this week. Also had a little bit of a rough time with nausea last inpatient, so please pray her body tolerates it well this time.
Holden Underwood - 1 year old - ALL/MLL Leukemia – Home and on break from chemo! His blood counts were good last week and praying they will continue to be!
Brennan McCowen - 1 year old - Neuroblastoma – At home after chemo last week. Had issues with nausea and vomiting this weekend, pray that he feels better and his little body is protected from germs while he is out and his counts are low. No fevers!
Courtney Pette - 16 years old - Lymphoma - Round 4 of outpatient chemo and her spirits are high - although she is a little bored because of summer! Pray her strength keeps up!
Ruel Bobet - twenty - stomach cancer – Just finished 20 hours of chemo at MD Anderson, got home after 3 am this morning. Pray that he is able to rest and recover today!
Addison Marshall – 17 – Leukemia – started his outpatient radiation protocol at MD Anderson Proton Center - will be going every day (M-F) for the next 4 weeks. Pray that the side effects on the table are minimal, he has peace that surpasses all understanding before, during and after the treatments and his strength continues to flow!
Hudson Kadlecek - 4 years old - Lymphoma
Patton Jones - 3 YO - Burkitt's Lymphoma
Wyatt – 2 years old – ALL Leukemia
Allen Hill – 10 years old – ALL Leukemia
