Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track. Don't assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. But don't, dear friend, resent God's discipline; don't sulk under his loving correction. It's the child he loves that God corrects; a father's delight is behind all this.
But it is clear we can't achieve wisdom from any other source but God. We are walking blind without Him!
So - that is what I'm going to pray for our families this week - that they would seek God, His Plan, His Knowledge, His Purpose and His Way of Thinking about the situation they are in. It sounds simple enough, but going through this, I know we would not be in the position we are in without His Hand of Mercy upon us. It is so evident that your prayers have made such a difference.
I am too close to it at the moment, but one day I will put the running tally of miracles we've been witnesses to down on paper. That list is long and distinguished and it is thanks to all your wise prayers - coming straight from the heart of God!
Here is our list of sweet angels to pray for this week....
Sophia Vogel - 4 years old - Sarcoma b/h left eye – outpatient chemo this week - blood counts should be fine and only 5 more chemo rounds after this week!!!
Anna Grace Dennis - 7 years old - Cancer free from brain tumor! Please pray for her emotional and physical recovery from her radiation in January/February of this year and that her family will be able to use this to comfort others and bring them the hope of Christ!
Rylee Beard - 5 years old - Will's Tumor in abdomen/neck (relapse) – outpatient chemo this week
Holden Underwood - 1 year old - ALL/MLL Leukemia – Home and doing great! He even rebounded so quick from his counts being low last week that he shocked everyone at the clinic - including his Mommy!
Brennan McCowen - 11 months - Neuroblastoma – Praise The Lord they are finally on the 9th floor! He is receiving chemo this week (still inpatient), but hopefully coming home later in the week.
Courtney Pette - 16 years old - Lymphoma - Round 4 of chemo this week, outpatient.
Ruel Bobet - twenty - stomach cancer – Had a great weekend and is at MDA today/tomorrow - got blood and chemo, was hopefully wrapping that up at midnight Tuesday.
Addison Marshall – 17 – Leukemia – on a break from chemo
Hudson Kadlecek - 4 years old - Lymphoma
Patton Jones - 3 YO - Burkitt's Lymphoma
Wyatt – 2 years old – ALL Leukemia
Allen Hill – 10 years old – ALL Leukemia – well into treatment
