TPT4KC This Week!

I don't know very many of the people on this list personally.  I know quite a few of them from FB.  I got a real treat on Friday when I met Aiden's Mom - Kelli.  She is so special.  She and the whole family have been through so much.  But there is a real strength that shines through her - real knowledge; real hope.  Dave and I prayed for her as she took Aiden back to his bone marrow aspiration and the news was BLESSEDLY good!  (See below).

To connect with another person whose shoes you've walked in is the essence of comfort.  You might be complete strangers, but in that instant - God makes you friends.  It was a confirmation of the ministry we've been given, but a double blessing as well.  No matter where you are looking at cancer from - just diagnosed, middle of treatment or in remission - to know you are in the fight with someone else makes all the difference.

This week, I want us to pray these families find the comfort God has for them.  Not just because their circumstances are uncomfortable most of the time.  I'm talking about real comfort - freedom from fear and pain.  A break from the constant need to be on high alert.  Time to embrace the peace that transcends all understanding and that they will realize they are loved, cared for and precious in His Sight.

Reminds of one of my favorite verses: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
Keep praying, dear sweet friends!  IT'S WORKING!
