TPT4KC This Week!

I will write more about this later but this week is about endurance for me.  I am heavy with responsibility and grief.  This is the first anniversary of Sophia's diagnosis.  It depends on who you ask which day is actually the anniversary.  Dave says the 10th, which is when we first went to the hospital and got the CT that showed the mass.  I say the 13th, the day we got the results from the biopsy that showed it to be malignant.

We are both right, I guess!

Today is also the first time I will speak publicly about our experience.  I have kept the anxiety at bay since I wrote the talk last Tuesday, but I'm really tired this morning and have a lot to do today, so I sit here in my brokenness, until it is time to get to the work of life and I can focus on something else.   Everyone has bad days, especially Moms, so I'm praying this isn't a bad day, just one The Lord will give me the strength to endure.

All these families, all these kids, have stories.  They are all on a journey with The Lord.  I would ask you pray they will know Him.  That they will see His Hand in their struggles and will understand the great mystery that even cancer can be used for His glory and our good in His plan.  I know so many times of the last year He has given me a glimpse of His purposes.  They are perfect, although many times painful.  But these families have an opportunity to experience His comfort and intimacy that most people never get.

As for me and my house, we will serve The Lord.  I will choose to keep following Him because life without Christ is just not any life at all.

Pray for me today, would you?
