God is good - ALL THE TIME

This day started bad, toxic attitude was back. But our God is a great big God and as He promises, He didn't leave me there, He pulled me out of the muck one more time.

For the first time in nearly 2 weeks, we have something to celebrate. I hoped but part of me never imagined I would be celebrating anything during this time. But I am!! I am!!

He is showing up big, just as you have been praying for!

Preliminary results from the CT and bone scan came back with NO spread! We are still waiting on pathology from spinal tap and bone marrow yesterday but the doctor is extremely confident that they will also be clean, so she is proceeding with that mindset.

HE ANSWERS PRAYER!!

Another miracle delivered right to my heart is that the doctor is not recommending ANY more surgery for the time being. Also, no radiation for at least the next three months!!

With surgery, there was a high risk she would lose her eye. With continued radiation, it would damage her eye socket so she might be disfigured.

Christmas came early as my baby's eye is safe (for now)!

My Mom also just told me about a radiation treatment at MDA that does not damage the surrounding tissue, but we will cross that bridge when we get there!

Sophia will probably get her port catheter in her chest on Wednesday of next week and start her chemo that night. And we, of course, meet with Dr. Muscal to go over the specifics on Tuesday morning (so will have more to report, especially on how often she will be having chemo.)

Dave is on his way home - when I told him the news, he ran out of his office to be with us. We are all going to go to the museum to see the pirate exhibit and I know we will celebrate with ice cream as well!

I also have finished her T-shirt design, so if you want to be on "Sophia's Team" please let me know! We will be selling them to raise money for TCH and/or cancer research.

I'm going to close with the verse we will put on the t-shirt, the Scripture that sums up our theme of "Teamwork makes the dream work!"

Galatians 6:9 (The Message)

So let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don't give up, or quit.

Thank you for sustaining us, my dearest brothers and sisters in Christ!

Ok...We call ourselves 'The Goodman Crew' for a reason. You can put us down for T-shirts also. We will need 7. Let me know if you need help with anything. Also, if you have an email blast, send to my business email & facebook (Keller Williams Pearland) and I will send it out to my KW Team & staff. And to add on to your Title "God is good - ALL THE TIME"....And ALL THE TIME - God is Good!!

You don't know me but Jennifer Nance asked me, my family and my church to be praying for Sophia and your family. I love your blog and the TRUTH you share here. I have a Bible club (The Great Adventure Club) that meets after school in a public school once a week here in Trafalgar, Indiana. One of the things our 90+ kids love to respond to is when I call out, "Every word in the Bible IS...." and they scream the response, "ABSOLUTELY TRUE!" Our focus is to teach the kids weekly WHY we as Christians can (and should) proclaim that boldly. Your blog for your Sophia's great adventure is testimony that HE never leaves us or forsakes us, that HE has a plan for each of us and it is a GOOD plan - and that each of us was created to bring HIM honor and glory throughout our Great Adventure here on earth. HE truly has chosen Sophia, and your family -- "for such a time as this". Thank you for sharing your journey with the world as you walk in HIS way. HE is with you and will never leave your side. That's in the Bible...and EVERY Word in the Bible is......."_____________ _______!"

Praying for you
